Maharaja Yadvindera Singh |
Maharaja Yadavindra Singh, son of Maharaja Bhupinder Singh was the last ruling prince, who ruled till May 1948. The state was then merged in to Patiala and East Punjab State Union (PEPSU) with the Maharaja as its Rajpramukh. A great sportsman himself, he became the president of Indian Olympic Association to Holland. On June 17, 1974 at the age of 61 he died of a heart attack at Hague.
